Creating oasis of calm, peace, kindness and community
Wednesday 11th Mar
For us the reason is simple.
This act of community building is in our control totally.
Creating oasis of calm, peace, kindness and community is in our control.
Funds raised go directly to Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
Every cent raised for the ASRC helps ensure that more than 8500 people seeking asylum can access food, shelter, healthcare, legal support and other essential services as they rebuild their lives in Australia.
We have, so far, raised $695 - generous humans from India, Australia, Hong Kong, USA, and UK have donated.
Please donate if you can, whatever you can, from wherever you are based.
You can donate using this link: https://lnkd.in/gTN9ia-k
Your donation goes direct to ASRC.
Along with raising funds, we also host a feast at our home.
A feast for freedom, love, kindness and joy.
Shiv and I have always been gatherers.
We love to gather people at our home over gupshup, khana, peena, mauj and masti.
This year we have 15 spots in total. There are some spots still left.
If you want to join our feast, please donate and RSVP using the link I shared above.
It is on April 18, 2026 from 12.30 PM in Ocean Grove, VIC.
This year we will cook food from Palestine, Iran, Sri Lanka and PNG - from recipes generously gifted by Noha from Palestine, Nige from Sri Lanka, Mahsid from Iran and Veronica from my beloved PNG.
All expenses for hosting the feast is ours, lovingly spent to create oasis of love and kindness, peace and community.
Please donate❤️

Love&Kinship
Monday 9th Feb
We humans are in desperate need of love, kinship, and connection.
In a world that often feels disconnected, it's crucial that we rehumanize our fundamental ways of living. We must support the vital work of organizations that are dedicated to keeping humanity alive.
The Asylum Seekers Resource Center (ASRC) is one such organization here in Australia. Every day, they work tirelessly to ensure that the lives of refugees and asylum seekers are met with dignity and compassion.
That's why this year too, Naysa, Shiv, and I are coming together to host Feast for Freedom at our home. Our goal is to raise $2,500 (and hopefully exceed it!) to directly support ASRC’s critical initiatives.
How You Can Help:
- Donate: Your generous contributions will go directly to ASRC, helping them continue their essential work.
- Join Us: We have 15 spots available for those who want to join our feast - an afternoon of food, connection, and community; on Saturday, April 18, 2026 (details to be provided on signing up).
We will cook food from recipes lovingly shared by two refugees - Noha from Palestine and Nige, a Sri Lankan Tamil.
We are excited.
Together, let's stand for:
- Freedom
- Humanity
- Love
- Kinship
Please consider donating today. Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Thank you for your love, kinship and support!
