Story

I’m making a difference by fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference, and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Please make a donation to help me reach this goal. Donations $2 and more are tax-deductible.

Thank you.

Backyard Feast

Monday 13th Apr
A reasonably successful feast with lots of good food and good company. It was difficult to be the organiser/host and be able to direct conversations through the cards. I just let everyone talk, eat and enjoy themselves. The backyard set up in my gardens was extremely pleasant and the cool fresh air was noted by all. The Musakhan rolls and Tamr Hindi were loved by all and devoured with gusto.
Unfortunately I had about half of the invitees not attend so it was not as successful as hoped.

Thank you to my Donors
