Empowering Women and Refugees Feast

Story

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Please make a donation to help me reach this goal.

Thank you.

Our Feast Sunday 28 March

Monday 30th Mar
Members of our little group and our guests enjoyed a range of food from a variety of countries. We shared stories, listened to responses to the Conversation Starters, and enjoyed a peaceful and interesting time together. We raised a small amount of money as well as raising awareness to the challenges facing those people seeking asylum.
Some individuals also brought food donations that were passed on to a local refugee support centre, the Romero Centre.
