Story

I’m making a difference by fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference, and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Please make a donation to help me reach this goal. Donations $2 and more are tax-deductible.

Thank you.

Grandma's Hands Stories Presents...

Monday 16th Feb
Feast and Fables! This year I'm passionately sharing my love of storytelling and slow food. I created Grandma's Hands Stories in Instagram as a way to share this. Migration, culture and memory, stories from lands and loves past. A yearning to taste home. Humanity comes together when we share food and open our heart and hearth.
This year I've decided to host a Feast for Freedom, organised by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
In the great Australian "Bring A Plate" tradition, let's all bring a plate of food to share along with the stories they hold.

I hope you can join. Early days of organising still, so I'll keep you posted.
Looking at Sunday April 12th at this stage.

Thank you to my Donors
