Story
I’m making a difference by fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.
This is a meal that makes a difference, and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.
Please make a donation to help me reach this goal. Donations $2 and more are tax-deductible.
Thank you.

Note to self: Must do something
Thursday 5th MarHave you been thinking, as I have, that it’s really time to stand up for an Australia where empathy and compassion hold value? I’ve been wondering how to push back against the mean-hearted small-minded populism which appears to now be gathering momentum close to home.
In these times words just don’t seem enough.
This Freedom Feast organised by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre could be just the way to get started.
Asylum seekers tend to be extraordinary human beings who have overcome enormous obstacles and go on to make great contributions to Australian society.
Please join me for this fundraiser feast which is a celebration of culture, an act of love, and a coming together of community.
In honour of Khalil who honoured me beyond my merit or comprehension. He showed us what it meant to live life with a full heart and die with selfless dignity.
