Feast for Freedom

I’m hosting a Feast for Freedom on Saturday the 21st March during Harmony Week, a time that celebrates cultural diversity, belonging, and connection. The purpose is to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), and I’d love you to be part of it.
Feast for Freedom is a simple but powerful idea. We come together to share a meal, and in doing so raise crucial funds to support people seeking asylum here in Australia. It’s fundraising that feels good because it’s built around connection, generosity, and good food.
For this feast, we’ll be cooking and sharing dishes inspired by recipes generously gifted by refugees, drawn from their own cultural traditions. It’s a chance to enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal together while supporting something that truly matters.
I've set the modest goal of $750, and every dollar raised goes directly to the ASRC to help provide essential services like food, healthcare, housing support, and employment pathways for people seeking asylum. These are practical supports that help people live with dignity while they rebuild their lives.
Thank you so much for being part of this and for helping make this dinner one that truly makes a difference.
