Story
I remember as a young girl being really upset by the images of starving children in Ethiopia, my first idea that not everyone in the world has the same privilege. I always felt like I had cheated somehow to be so blessed to live in a modern world and not be starving or facing war or persecution.
Yes, I wear my heart on my sleeve and I don't see borders as meaning anything. We are all one. Man is its own worst enemy but also there are amazing people out there and we have to have hope that love will prevail 🙏
We're making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
We're doing this by hosting a very special celebration of what unites us all - great food and good company, through Feast for Freedom.
This is a meal that makes a difference. We'll be inspired by special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions and every dollar we raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential housing, healthcare, employment and food support for refugees and people seeking asylum.
Please make a donation to help me reach this goal.
