Story

I’m making a difference by fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference, and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

What a fun Feast for Freedom lunch yesterday

Sunday 19th Apr
A wonderful collection of food and friends supporting ASRC gathered at my home and due to their and others generous donations I exceeded my fundraising goal
We all acknowledged how lucky we are to live here and to have so much.. importantly we acknowledged the incredible contributions people from other cultures make to our community and the people who seek support and protection in Australia deserve our compassion 

Fundraising now 60% of my target goal

Tuesday 24th Mar
I can't believe how many years have passed since I hosted the last Feast for Freedom here in MacMasters Beach! At that time there was so much community interest that the event moved from my dining room to the local progress hall .. the weather was wonderful and long tables filled with food, conversations and laughter.. we all come together and the experience was so uplifting and positive 
I would love you to join me again. Bring a friend, a plate to share and lets send our support to refugees and asylum seekers to assure them Australians do care
