Story

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

This year, all I want for my birthday is your presence, and ideally a donation to ASRC.


Come to my place for a lovely long lunch of Lebanese food from A1 and delicious cake from my kitchen.

This year, I'm turning 29. I would love it if you could donate at least $29 (or $31, my lucky number). If it's not a good time for you to make a cash donation, please bring some material goods to donate (e.g. nappies, shelf-stable food) and I will bring them to the ASRC offices.

How to get here

Friday 28th Mar

Our address is 29 Cerberus Crescent, Williamstown North. It's a 10-15 minute walk from Williamstown North station (which is on the Williamstown line), or about 20-30 min drive from the city.

If you are taking the train but the walk is too long, let me know and I'll send someone to get you in the car (it's a 2 min drive). 

We're getting close!

Friday 28th Mar
Hi everyone, only 2 sleeps until my big birthday feast!
I am so blown away by the support - I've just upped my fundraising target for the second time - hoping to get to $1250 now.

Drinks, fruit and veg have arrived, I've printed the menu, and all of the catering is locked in for a Sunday morning pick up (thanks Jack!).

There will be plenty of gluten free and vegan options and almost entirely vego (some meat on sticks for the meat heads).

Please come hungry (and bring a container if you are so inclined!

You're welcome any time from 12:30pm - I'll be serving cake at 1:30pm :)

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd add a little update as everything is ticking along for this event.

As you may know, I love organising events, I love food, and I especially love good company.

I've put in the orders for catering (including some delicious vegan/GF baked goods) and fruit and veg, and decided what my birthday cake will be!

There's also a ridiculously detailed document with all of the menu items, their dietaries, and what I still need to organise...

Join me for a lovely lunch!
