Welcome!

Dear friends and family,

It is that time of year again where I try to make a difference by fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Please make a donation to help me reach this goal.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

Warm regards,

Colleen. x

Together, we have raised over $750.

$750 can help provide over 350 warm community meals so people seeking asylum can share a meal in a welcoming environment. That is a great achievement alone. Thank you everyone.

On a side note; today I was able to chat with some like minded human beings. They not only knew about the amazing work of the ASRC but have big hearts and able to consider walking in other's shoes.

Thanks everyone. xx

Food for thought....pardon the pun!

Dear family and friends,
A year passes quickly. Life can feel rushed and pressured but please spare a thought for those who find themselves as refugees or asylum seekers. The current conflict in the Middle East has upset me deeply. It is hard to imagine living in a country where there is so much harm, hatred and loss all around. Australia is a beautiful country in which we mostly live freely. It certainly feels like the 'lucky country'.
Thank you to those who have supported this charity in the past and thank you in advance to those who are able to support this year. Any little amount can be helpful and appreciated.
Warm regards,
Colleen. xx
