Our country has been made richer culturally by the many who have sought asylum here over the years. Here’s a chance to explore some culinary delights that they have brought to our shores.

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

Hi friends, 
While l have been recovering my health, l came across this opportunity to help asylum seekers in a fun & social way. I was inspired by all the fabulous food l grew up with, cooked by my refugee parents and their cohort of refugee friends. So many wonderful times and memories were made around tables laden with delicious foods. Is it any wonder that l have been drawn to cooking and sharing new recipes with those who bring their smiles and good vibes along? 
I feel this will be a great project to embark on once l’m up to it. I’m aiming for an Amazing April feast at this stage.  I look forward to trying out new recipes and hunting out new ingredients. I might even inspire my hubby to extend his culinary range of meals. Who knows what’s possible?
