Love Feast

We love the work that the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre does. It’s important work. Necessary work. It’s compassionate community in practice. It’s basic needs. It’s dignity. It’s loving our neighbours. It’s empathy.
We support the ASRC monthly. We don’t share that to boast, we share it to help you understand that we are committed to supporting their work, and that we believe that every small contribution matters (from little things, big things grow - right?!).
So, in the spirit of love and little things and big hearts and community, we are really hoping you can join us for our first LOVE FEAST - a gathering of good folks around our kitchen table, sharing food, stories, and whatever bits of coin we can spare.
Saturday May 17th
5pm - Rae & Dave’s house of love
Bring a dish to share that tells a story - could be a story of where you come from; a story of somewhere you’ve been; a story of someone who made you feel welcome and at home. (If you feel at a loss, there are some beautiful recipes shared by members of the ASRC community that I am happy to pass around - you could bring their story to the table).
Come regardless of money. But if you are able, you can donate whatever amount you are able either by clicking the donate link below or putting cash in a jar when you get here.
Every dollar raised will go directly to the ASRC so they can keep providing essential food, housing and health services to refugees and folks seeking asylum here in Australia.
Join us for a feed.
We’ll feast on love and stories.
Whatever we raise together will matter.
Thank you.
We love ya.
Xx
Rae + Dave
(P.s. please confirm with us if you are able to come so we know how many seats to fit around the table)
