Can we get to $1500?

This April, I’m hosting a Feast for Freedom to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). All funds will go towards members access to: legal aid, healthcare, education, employment pathways, food and a safe, welcoming space.

Last year, I had the privilege of volunteering with the ASRC as part of their Women’s Empowerment Program. And wow, what an incredible organisation ... one I couldn't speak more highly of. Each week in my lunch break, I would join a big table and share conversations, smiles and a beautiful meal with members, staff, and people seeking asylum.

The community feast I will host, is inspired by recipes passed down by refugees. It’s all about coming together, having a go at new dishes, encouraging meaningful conversations, and most importantly, raising much-needed funds.

If you’re able to contribute, please consider donating. If we reach $1500, we can help feed a family for 3 months, ensuring they have a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, and culturally familiar foods.
