Story

I’m making a difference fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).

I’m doing this by hosting a Feast for Freedom to provide people seeking asylum with access to the essential services they need to rebuild their lives in Australia.

This is a meal that makes a difference and I’m inspired by the special recipes gifted by refugees that are taken from their own cultural traditions. Every dollar I raise will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.

If you are able, I'd appreciate if you can donate.

A few dollars from everyone can make a huge difference.

If anyone wants to join in on my feast, please let me know. Date TBD.

Thank you.

My Updates

First blog post!

Thank you to everyone who has responded so far!

It looks like a few people are interested in joining my feast!

Donations close 30th April. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

Your contribution helps provide:

  • warm community meals so people seeking asylum can share a meal in a welcoming environment

  • nutritious and culturally familiar food, including a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables

  • housing support and relief payments to help pay for housing and utilities for families at risk of homelessness

  • health services and legal representation

  • education and employment support so people seeking asylum can rebuild their lives

Together, we can remain a vital lifeline for people as they navigate their path to freedom and safety.
