On April 21st, Easter Monday, I’m hosting a Feast for Freedom at my home, to raise funds in support of the great work of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), providing access to essential services to people seeking asylum in Australia. Kon and his co-workers have put together a cook book with recipes gifted by some of the asylum seekers sharing something of their own cultural traditions. Some of these recipes will be part of the menu at our feast. It will be an evening of fun and friendship.
Knowing I have many generous friends, I’ve set myself a target of $1,000. Whether or not you are able to come to my feast, please help me reach that target by a making a donation. Every dollar will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food, housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.
