Story
Ramadan is
a sacred and spiritual month that holds great significance for Muslims
globally. Not only is it a month of fasting from dawn to dusk, it is also a
period of introspection, self-reflection and devotion encouraging kindness,
empathy and compassion for self and others.
The special
month comes to an end with Eid al Fitr (Festival of Breaking Fast) and is
celebrated with acts of charity and feasting. GML will celebrate Eid this year
with the Feast for Freedom and help to make a difference by fundraising for the
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
Every dollar raised will go to the ASRC so they can provide essential food,
housing and health services to refugees and people seeking asylum.
