Hello All. Jacob and I had such fun hosting FEAST for you last year we have decided to make it an annual thing!
How it works: We cook the recipes/cuisine of a featured Asylum seeker. You come and eat - and donate what you feel.
This year we are going to celebrate the Venezuelan food of Reveka. Her dishes include arepas and plantain chips - yum!
Reveka's story hit for me: HARD. "As a student journalist I always tried to use my words to say when things weren’t right. So I became a target. The worst memories come from days when I couldn’t even visit my own family home. I remember my parents calling to tell me, “Please don’t come, it’s too dangerous.” That was the worst time of my life."
